I have a confession đŸ«Ł

Sundays with Anna | Newsletter #39

This week, I had a proper founder mum moment.

I was sitting at the kitchen table with my laptop open, a cold cup of tea next to me (again), and I’d just been interrupted for the 400th time with:

“Mum, where’s my
”

“Mum, can you
?”

“Mum, I’m hungry
”

You know the vibe. 😂

Anyway, in between all that, I tried to make an online purchase. Just a quick order. In and out. Easy.

I clicked on this website that looked stunning.

Like
 proper wow.

Beautiful photos. Gorgeous branding. Everything felt expensive in the best way.

And then
I realised I had no idea what I was supposed to do next.

I couldn’t tell what the “main thing” was.

I couldn’t tell what made it different.

I couldn’t even tell which product they wanted me to start with.

So I did the thing we all do when we’re confused but still trying to be a good person:

I scrolled.

Then I scrolled back up.

Then I opened the menu.

Then I sighed.

Then I left.

And it hit me right there, not as a “business lesson”... just as a human who was tired and wanted things to be simple:

The brands that win aren’t always the ones that look the most impressive.

They’re the ones that make you feel this immediately.

“Ohhh, I get it.”

That’s the real spark.

Not the font.

Not the vibe.

Not the aesthetic.

It’s being instantly understood, especially when your customer is distracted, time-poor, and making decisions in between real life.

And honestly, I used to chase “wow” as if it were the ultimate goal.

Now I chase clarity.

Because clarity is what makes people stay.

Clarity is what makes them trust you.

Clarity is what makes them buy without needing to “think about it.”

So I’m curious

If a stranger landed on your site for 10 seconds

What do you hope they’d instantly understand about your brand?

Hit reply and tell me in one sentence.

I genuinely love hearing these.

Big love,
