Why I almost missed the AI wave 👀

A few days ago, I built a dashboard before breakfast.

Six months ago, I wouldn't have believed that sentence about me. The story of what changed is what I want to share today, and there's a small note at the end about what's coming.

Back in March, when AI was suddenly on every feed and in every conversation, I told myself I was paying attention.

I wasn't.

I had ChatGPT open in a tab from time to time.

I dabbled. But the whole thing still felt like hype, and I had a business to run.

I wasn't ignoring it. I just wasn't leaning in. 🤷

Then something shifted. I kept scrolling past these small, practical demonstrations of what AI could actually do.

Not to write a novel. Not replace anyone. Just help a person work smarter.

That's the thing I've built House of Cart around since day one.

Systems over chaos.

Multipliers overgrind.

When I saw AI through that lens, the noise dropped away, and the shape of it came into view.

So I made a call: go all in.

Not because it was the trendy thing.

Because I didn't want to get left behind, and more importantly, I didn't want our team or our clients to either.

My instinct was to learn to work with it, not around it or against it. To orchestrate it. Use it the way I'd use any good tool, on purpose.

Two or three months in, here's what's different.

I'm building dashboards and systems with Claude that automate the repetitive work nobody enjoys.
The team is freed up for the strategic, creative, high-value work that actually moves clients forward. The hours that used to disappear into copy-paste and chasing down numbers are back on the table.

And something I didn't expect has started to take shape.

A real opportunity for e-commerce founders, specifically, and a way for us to deliver it.

I'm not ready to put the full thing on the table yet. But it's close.
