I didn’t expect to learn this after 6 years 😮

Sundays with Anna | Newsletter #29

Hi! I’m back from a well-spent birthday week (cake, cocktails, and zero Shopify dashboards for a few days 🙌)… and wow, it feels good to dive back in.

And coming back with fresh eyes? It reminded me just how much we’ve done this year already.

Some people call me a Shopify expert… but honestly? I’m just good at spotting patterns. 👀

After building 40+ Shopify stores this year, I’ve noticed the same 3 things tripping founders up — no matter how “big” or “small” the store is:

  1. Saying too much → When your page is doing all the talking, customers stop listening.

  2. Pretty ≠ profitable → A beautiful store means nothing if people don’t know where to click.

  3. No clear path to buy → I wish I were joking, but half the time the “Add to Cart” button is practically in hiding.

The good news? The wins are just as repeatable:

✨ One client trusted the process, cut half her homepage fluff, and doubled her sales in 30 days.

✨ Another finally stopped designing “pretty” for Instagram and focused on conversion — her abandoned cart recovery rate shot up 52% overnight.

6 years in, I’m still learning something new from every single store we touch.

So if your Shopify store feels a little stuck right now, here’s your gentle reminder:

It’s not you.

It’s not your products.

It’s probably just a few sneaky leaks hiding in plain sight.

What’s one thing about your store you know could be working harder for you right now? Hit reply, I’d love to hear.

Let’s find the leaks together,

Anna x
